These plugins are designed for AutoCAD Plant 3D, so your system must have a compatible version of AutoCAD installed on your system (please consult the corresponding product page to see the compatibility). System requirements are the same as that of AutoCAD Plant 3D so if your system can run the software, our plugins will work fine.

The installer locates the contents folder by reading through the registry file and places the necessary script and library files in the relevant contents folder. It is essential that you have Read/Write access to your Contents folder. By default, this folder is located in <WinRootDir>\AutoCAD Plant 3D 20xx Content.

If you are unable to locate it, then you can acquire the location by one of two methods explained in our blog Where is the CONTENTS folder of AutoCAD Plant 3D. You can also watch the video guide below.

You can click here to visit our Publisher Page on the Autodesk App Store. After login to Autodesk with credentials, you can simply make the purchase through your PayPal. Once the payment is successful, you will be redirected to the plugin page where you can now see the Download button. Simply click on it and you are good to go.

If you choose to make the payment through our secure checkout then there are a few essential steps that you must perform. These are required because you are purchasing outside of the Autodesk payment portal. To enable you for future updates of the product you have chosen, your purchase here needs to be synchronized with the Autodesk App Store. The detailed process is provided on each product page. Our products do not use a live license verification process. This means that once the product is purchased, you will have full rights to it and your access cannot be suspended/terminated. For this reason, we work with a No-Return and No-Refund policy.

After receiving your order, we will process it as quickly as possible, and you will be provided with your download entitlement within 24 hours. Autodesk will notify you about your entitlement. If you wish to cancel your order, you must do so before the download entitlement is enabled. Once the download entitlement is active, your cancellation request will not be entertained.

Make sure you have Tool Pallets displayed in your model space. If not, then type TOOLPALLETTES command and it will pop up docked on the right side of your screen. There you can see all the components in your selected Specs Sheet.

If you already have the Tool Pellet displayed and you cannot see the components or interact with them after importing the Specs Sheet to your project for the first time, simply restart your AutoCAD Plant 3D and it will work just fine. However, before doing that please ensure that you have executed PLANTREGISTERCUSTOMSCRIPTS command.

The installation package comes with a Cable Tray catalog file for both Imperial and Metric Systems. Open this catalog in your Specs Editor for AutoCAD Plant 3D – 20xx. Click on the desired component and switch to the SIZE tab. Here you can introduce the new width size as per your need. Remember the size constraint is from 50mm to 1200mm (i.e. 2” to 48”). To add the size, do the following.

• Click Add Size
• Enter the value of Nominal Diameter (which is your new required size)
• Enter the value for Matching Pipe OD (which is the same as the diameter above)
• (Optional): Enter the Appropriate text string in the Long Description (Size)
• Change the Width Parameter to match your required size (entered in Nominal Diameter).
• Click Save to Catalog

Locate the component named PIPE in the catalog and repeat the above process for the same. Open your desired spec sheet in the Specs Editor tab. Remove the component (for which the size has been changed) and PIPE from the spec sheet. Locate both in the Catalog and add them to the Specs Sheet. This will include updated components in the specs sheet. Click on the component in the specs sheet for which the new size has been added and click the Edit Parts button. In the dialog that opens, locate the Column named Component Designation and input Custom for all entries. Save the specs sheet. Go to your AutoCAD Plant 3D project, select any other specification sheet (other than what you just updated) as active, and then remove the previous version of the spec sheet you just updated. Import the updated version of the specs sheet again in the project and you will see the new size here.
