These plugins are designed to adapt and leverage the inherent features of AutoCAD Plant 3D. Apart from a few one-time setting adjustments—made entirely within the scope of AutoCAD’s built-in capabilities—the plugins integrate seamlessly with the software. They provide a user-friendly graphical interface to support your professional workflows with ease and efficiency.
These plugins are specifically designed for AutoCAD Plant 3D, so it is essential that a compatible version of AutoCAD is installed on your system. Please refer to the respective product page for detailed compatibility information. The system requirements are identical to those of AutoCAD Plant 3D—if your system can run the software, the plugins will function properly.
During installation, the installer locates the Contents folder by reading from the system registry and places the required script and library files into the appropriate directory. It is important that you have read/write access to this folder. By default, the path is:
<WinRootDir>\AutoCAD Plant 3D 20xx Content
If you are unable to locate the folder, you can find it using one of the two methods outlined in our blog article Where is the CONTENTS folder of AutoCAD Plant 3D. A step-by-step video guide is also available below for your convenience.

If you choose to purchase through our secure checkout (outside the Autodesk App Store), there are a few additional steps required to enable product updates via the Autodesk App Store. Additionally, you will be added to our Download Entitlement Group on the Autodesk App Store, allowing you to download the installer directly from there as well.
The installer simplifies the entire setup process. It will prompt you to select the version of AutoCAD for which you want to install the plugin. If any previous versions of our plugin are detected, the installer will automatically remove them before proceeding with the new installation.
The downloadable package provides an MSI installer that automatically installs and copies all necessary files to their appropriate directories. Each plugin comes with its own set of files, which you can review on the respective plugin’s product page.
Ensure that the Tool Palettes are visible in your model space. If they are not displayed, type the TOOLPALETTES
command in the command line—this will open the palette, typically docked on the right side of your screen. Within the Tool Palettes, you will find all components available in your selected Specs Sheet.
If the Tool Palettes are already visible but the components are not appearing or cannot be interacted with after importing the Specs Sheet for the first time, simply restart AutoCAD Plant 3D. This typically resolves the issue. However, before restarting, please make sure you have run the PLANTREGISTERCUSTOMSCRIPTS
command to properly register all custom scripts.
The installation package includes a Cable Tray catalog file for both Imperial and Metric systems. To customize tray sizes, follow these steps using the Specs Editor in AutoCAD Plant 3D – 20xx:

Click Save to Catalog to apply the changes.
Note: Tray width must be between 50mm and 1200mm (i.e., 2” to 48”).
Locate the component named PIPE in the same catalog and repeat the above steps to ensure consistency.
Step 2: Update the Spec Sheet

The newly added size should now be available and visible in your Tool Palettes.
This plugin is designed to extend the functionality of our Parametric Cable Tray and Parametric Cable Tray Support plugins. At a minimum, the Parametric Cable Tray Plugin must be installed on your system; the support plugin is optional but recommended for full feature access. The installer automatically checks for the presence of the required plugin and will abort the installation if it is not detected.
This plugin does not rely on any third-party software or tools. However, it requires at minimum the Parametric Cable Tray Plugin and the Parametric Cable Tray Support Plugin to function properly.
One of the key features of this plugin is the ability to export tray components to a formatted Excel spreadsheet. During the export process, users are prompted with an option to open the exported file immediately. If the option is selected (checkbox enabled), the plugin will attempt to launch Microsoft Excel. In the event that Microsoft Excel is not installed on your system, simply leave this option unchecked. The exported file will still be saved and can be accessed later using any compatible spreadsheet editor, such as Google Sheets or other software that supports XLSX files.
Yes, the plugin includes an embedded help document that can be accessed directly from the “Mirza Solutions” tab in the AutoCAD ribbon. To view the complete help file, click on the “ABOUT” button, where you will find a link to the help document.
Additionally, you can customize the help content to suit your specific needs. Simply hover over any command to see a brief description in a popup tooltip. While hovering, press F1 to open the corresponding help topic for more detailed information.
The installer copies the plugin files to the Autodesk directory within the Windows root drive, specifically under %programfiles%\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins
. The settings INI file is generated at runtime the first time the user saves the Rename Settings, and it is stored in %programdata%\Autodesk\TrayAssistantSettings
.
During uninstallation, the plugin files located in the ApplicationPlugins directory are removed automatically. The uninstaller will prompt you to confirm whether you also wish to delete the settings file; if you consent, the settings file will be removed as well.
